Yeah, um. Okay. In what seems like the ultimate American fatty wet dream, TiVo owners can now order Dominos pizza from the comfort of their coach. Apparently it’s to much for to ask a person to reach over and grab the cordless phone. All it takes is a few clicks on the remote to navigate to the widget and from there you can order up to $100 worth of Dominos food. Ultimate TV app or a few ticks off of the life clock?

... the US of A get the first chance to indulge. 'Course, this is far from the first unorthodox method of ordering pizza, and the lack of a scheduled delivery option is certainly a weak point, but this widget does reveal that all sorts of differentiating applications could eventually find their way to a TiVo box near you. I know: some will view this as yet another insidious intrusion into our homes by the Obesity Industry. But that's not the point.... handled well — with a proper network of carriers, intelligent application of TiVo's learning facility and options to turn off the feature in the menu — it could be quite the boon, both to food delivery businesses and couch potatoes.

TiVo Delivers Pizza While You Get Fatter and Wiser

... , TiVo is getting smart by offering its customers a crucial feature that’ll prevent them from leaving their seat: pizza. A new Domino ’s widget is available for US TiVo subscribers that allows you to order pizza right from your television. Sure it’s ridiculously awesome, yet absurd, but while it might not be as lazy as ordering Pizza Hut while playing Everquest II, it certainly will make shows like The Shield more enjoyable, if that’s even possible.
